After the morning technical sessions on Tuesday and your lunch with the ACS Directors, why not join us for a tour? You will be returned to the Sheraton in plenty of time for the evening technical sessions. Tours must be pre-booked.

A taste of Vermont: Ben and Jerry's and Green Mountain Coffee - SOLD OUT

Come and taste a piece of the good life on our NERM2008 "Taste of Vermont" tour. Our luxury coach (biodiesel powered) will take you up into the mountains near Stowe for a tour of the Ben and Jerry's ice-cream factory followed by an ice-cream tasting. We will then move on to the Green Mountain Coffee Roasters in Waterbury to learn about, and experience, their award winning coffees. Our tour will be hosted by Thomas Novak Vice President, Product and Process Development.

Plant tour of chemistry at IBM

Essex Junction, VT, is home to IBM's Burlington Design Center and 200mm wafer fabrication plant. IBM is the state's largest private employer, with approximately 6500 employees. This tour will provide a unique opportunity to learn about the chemistry in computer chip manufacturing.
